  • Week of June 26, 2017: NEW BEGINNINGS, 2017. Join us for a beautiful sampling of music new and old from our season-opening artist for the 2017-18 concert season, Xavier Jara! Music by John Dowland, Francois Couperin, Dusan Bogdanovic, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Sergio Assad, and Jeremy Collins. SPECIAL BONUS: Bill Ash introduces and welcomes our new incoming Executive Director Kevin Ginty with his first conversation on the show!

  • Week of June 19, 2017: Join us for a show featuring both the traditional music for the Renaissance lute—featuring Dowland, Bach, and Robert Ballard-- performed by Ronn McFarlane, then concludes with some of Ronn’s own original compositions in a contemporary style.

  • Week of June 12, 2017: Peruvian Guitarist Jorge Caballero performs his own amazing transcriptions of The Firebird: Dance of the Princesses, by Stravinsky; Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnole; and Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky!

Mozart's Overture to “The Marriage of Figaro”; Gioacchino Rossini 's Overture to “The Thieving Magpie”; Gaspare Fontini's Overture to “Fernand Cortez”; Etienne-Nicolas Méhul's Overture to “Le jeune Henri”; Niccolo Piccinni's Overture to “Didon” (2 of 3 movements); and Gioacchino Rossini's Overture to “The Barber of Seville.”


  • Week of November 14 2016: Highlights: A preview for his St. Louis debut performance, Saturday November 19th at the Sheldon Concert Hall! Guitar virtuoso Grisha Goryachev, hailing from St. Petersburg Russia, performs flamenco pieces by Sabicas and Paco de Lucia, as well as Spanish classics by Isaac Albeniz - 'Torre Bermeja,' 'Granada' and 'Asturias (Leyenda).'
