  • Week of March 26, 2018: The first of THREE programs featuring an unexcelled artist of his instrument: Cuban-born guitarist Manuel Barrueco! This week in ensemble with some other masterful artists. Tune in for this podcast and the next two weeks for some spectacular music making!

  • Week of March 19, 2018: We visit the American guitar virtuoso Jason Vieaux from the Cleveland Institute of Music, sampling from his Grammy-Award-Winning album "Play." Tune in for a selection of classicl guitar favorites!

  • Week of March 12, 2018: John Schneiderman plays music of French guitarist Napoleon Coste (1805 – 1883). A student of Fernando Sor, Coste was famous for his unique seven string guitar with a “floating” 7th string typically tuned to D or C called the Lacote Heptachord. Tonally this invention created more depth when played as the floating string would vibrate sympathetically even as the other strings were plucked.

  • Week of March 5, 2018: More beautiful lute music from Ronn McFarlane and paul O'Dette, with some guest appearances by Jacob Lindberg and William Simms!

  • Week of February 26, 2018: Tune in for “Paul O'Dette & Ronn McFarlane, Part One," featuring the lutentists so named, as we anticipate their upcoming Mar 10 performance at The Sheldon!

  • Week of February 19, 2018: Join us this week for a program of the music of Agustin Barrios, performed by the fabulous Greek guitarist Antigoni Goni!

  • Week of February 12, 2018: Our show entitled “¡Amor!” is guaranteed to put you in the mood! Music by the ever-famous LAGQ, the Cavatina Flute and Guitar Duo, and two of our farvorite guitar trios: The Falla Guitar Trio and, from even further back, the Alice Artz Guitar Trio!

  • Week of February 5, 2018: “Filomena Moretti Plays Joaquin Rodrigo”--This beautiful all-Spanish program by the incomparable Joaquin Rodrigo keeps us cozy and warm!

  • Week of January 29, 2018: Join us for some concerto music! How about the los Angeles Guitar Quartet this time? Listen for Joaquin Rodrigo's Concerto Andaluz and Sergio Assad's Interchange!

  • Week of January 22, 2018: Jorge Caballero--featured prior to his upcoming January 27 perfromance at the Ethical Society--plays his Orchestral Transcriptions! Hear these unique realizations of Igor Stravinsky's The Firebird: Dance of the Princesses; Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol; and Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.
