David Russell, Grammy-award winning Scottish guitarist, will return to St. Louis March 25th, 2017 at the Ethical Society.

Pepe plays the music of Spanish guitarist and composer Francisco Tárrega (1852 - 1909), along with some traditional flamenco. Featured Tárrega classics include 'Capricho Arabe,' 'Adelita,' 'Recuerdos de la Alhambra' and more.

On tonight's show, we showcase the solo recordings of Celedonia Romero, the founder the Romeros Quartet, with three sons Pepe, Celin, and Angel. Celedonia plays music of the Spanish Renaissance for the first half, while the quartet ends the show with music from 'Carmen.'
Highlights: This program presents Grisha Goryachev, the virtuoso international guitarist known for his flamenco. Grisha is a trained classical guitarist from St. Petersburg, Russia. He studied at the New England Conservatory under Eliot Fisk and has released two solo flamenco guitar albums - "Alma Flamenca" and "Homenaje a Sabicas," - which will be featured in this radio program. Mr. Goryachev is one of the only internationally touring flamenco solo guitarists around. Guess what? He's coming to St. Louis November 19th, 2016 !
