Highlights: Show begins with a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., with Kumbayah. Show continues with French music of Satie, Faure and Ravel by flutist Viviana Guzman and guitarist Jeremy Jouve. Then music by the Festival of Four from Morocco, Russia, and Latin America; "Meadowsong," in two versions, composed and performed by guitarist Richard patterson, and joined by flutist Betinne Clemen. Also includes conversation with Mr. Patterson, founder of the Festival of Four.

Highlights: Our salute to African-American and African-South American composers in recognition of February upcoming as Black History Month. Music of Justin Holland (1819-1887), Haitian composer Franz Casseus (1915-1993), Brazilian Celso Machado (born on this day in 1953), and St. Louis ragtime composer Scott Joplin (1867-1917). With perfromances by Thomas Flippin, Giovanni DeChiaro, and St. Louisans Douglas Back and the Hanser-McClellan Guitar Duo. Also Spirituals by the Clemen-Patterson Duo and guitarist Rodney Stucky with soprano Mary Henderson.

Highlights include: First of a series of three programs featuring the arrangements and performances of William Kanengiser, first guitar of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet: Music from G.F. Handel, Suite #8 in D; Souvenir of Havana, op. 39, by Louis Gottschalk; and Mr. Kanengiser's composition "Turn to the Sea," his instrumental arrangements of two pieces by Giovanni Gabrielli, and the entire "El amor brujo" of Manuel De Falla, all performed by the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.
