The Beijing Guitar Duo, comprised of guitarists Meng Su and Yameng Wang, has performed to great acclaim throughout Europe, Asia, and North America.

One review reads, “…they’re fast getting the reputation as among the world’s finest... Their performance is exquisite—consistently joyous yet subtle, technically flawless, beautiful.”

Both Ms. Su and Ms. Wang have an impressive list of accolades as soloists.

Ms. Su’s honors include victories at the Vienna Youth Guitar Competition, the Christopher Parkening Young Guitarist Competition, and, most recently the 2015 Christopher Parkening International Guitar Competition Gold Medal—in addition to being the first female guitarist to ever make the final round.

Ms. Wang was the youngest guitarist to win the Tokyo International Guitar Competition--in competition with adult guitarists--at the age of 12, and was invited by Radio France to perform at the prestigious Paris International Guitar Art Week at age 14.

Combining these two phenomenal guitarists into package is guaranteed to create stunning artistry. Legend has it that the Beijing Guitar Duo plays so perfectly together that they sound like one person.

Please join us for an evening of marvelous music making!

The Beijing Guitar Duo will conduct a master class for young area guitar students on Sunday, November 12, 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the UMSL Building 205,  1 University Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63121. Admission is $5 at the door, free to Guitar Society Members. For more information call Executive Director Kevin Ginty at 314 567-5566.

Presented in Co-Sponsorship with The Cheshire Hotel

A St. Louis tradition with roots dating back to the 1920s, The Cheshire embodies the charm and authenticity of a traditional British inn with all the modern conveniences of today. Now, after undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation, eighteenth century antiques and historical fixtures live alongside flat-screen TVs and granite bathrooms, with hand-carved mantle in the living room to stained glass windows throughout. We are thrilled to begin this new chapter in the great story that is The Cheshire, and we look forward to making our home yours.
